Forum teaches how to avoid legal pitfalls

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) is hosting a forum—Managing Transportation Projects to Avoid Legal Pitfalls—April 15-16, 2009, at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. Offered through the ARTBA Foundation’s Transportation Builder Institute, which provides customized professional development programs for industry executives, the program will cover developments and trends, ethics issues, false claims, risk management and dispute resolution, environmental compliance, delay and impact claims, and disadvantaged business enterprise/women business enterprise-related issues. The program will feature presentations from law firms Peckar & Abramson; Watt, Tieder, Hofar & Fitzgerald; Kilpatrick Stockton; Beveridge & Diamond PC; Holland & Knight; Coats Rose; and The Law Office of Lawrence J. Joseph.
