D’Amato succeeds Goehring as CEO of Brown and Caldwell

Walnut Creek, Calif. — Brown and Caldwell, an environmental engineering and construction firm, announced that as part of its planned succession of leadership, Craig Goehring has transitioned from CEO to Executive Chairman, and Rich D’Amato, President and COO, has been promoted to CEO.

Goehring will continue in a full-time capacity as Executive Chairman, working side by side with D’Amato and other senior leaders and in chairing Brown and Caldwell’s Board of Directors. The changes were effective as of February 1, 2018.

Since joining Brown and Caldwell in 2013, D’Amato has served in multiple leadership positions, including Executive Vice President of the firm’s Private Sector Enterprise, and more recently as President and COO. Working with company operations and strategy teams, he has led the firm to a new position of strength — poised to thrive in a dynamic market constantly evolving through digitization, technological advancement, new competition in a consolidating industry, and new client demands.
