Construction Project Solutions co-develops Ci2 Integrated Value Engineering method partners with The re.Design Group to offer new business line

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Knoxville-based Construction Project Solutions, a woman-owned small business that offers full service construction management solutions for commercial customers, in partnership with The re.Design Group, also based in Knoxville, have developed the Ci2 Integrated Value Engineering approach for facility design and construction. The Ci2 process integrates value engineering concepts across the entire project lifespan, from initial design through project close-out.

Led by Construction Project Solutions’ Nathan Mathis, an industry-leading construction and engineering specialist, the Ci2 process supports decision-making that aligns with both the project goals and overall business goals for everyone involved with the project.

“With every project we manage, we want to maximize value,” said Mathis, P.E., M.ASCE, director of construction management services for Construction Project Solutions. “With a repeatable method to evaluate ongoing design and construction options, unnecessary risk may be averted during the project lifecycle. This ongoing evaluation process — Ci2 Integrated Value Engineering — promotes value-creating ideas at all phases of the project and ensures the ideas are evaluated and carried through the project. “

Within the Ci2 Integrated Value Engineering approach, every major design element will be evaluated using the FAST (Function, Analysis, System, Technique) method to assist with the prioritization of the project objective.

“We are excited to offer this new business line,” said Mathis, “and look forward to working with companies that want to maximize their project by applying sound and proven Value Engineering principals to increase the overall value of their project.”
