Christen Funk Joins MBMA Board of Directors

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) announces Christen Funk, President of Butler Manufacturing, is joining its board of directors.

“We are pleased to welcome Christen to the board,” says MBMA General Manager Tony Bouquot. “Her extensive business expertise will be of great benefit to the association. Butler Manufacturing, part of the BlueScope family of companies, is a founding MBMA member and industry leader.”

Funk joined Butler Manufacturing in 2020 as president. She previously served as general manager for Rain Bird Corporation’s landscape drip business. In that role she grew international sales and profits, increased manufacturing capacities and improved engineering efficiencies. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“It’s an honor to join the MBMA board and to participate in an organization so critical to our industry,” says Funk.“ I look forward to this service and to the future of the MBMA.”

Serving as the voice of the metal building systems industry, MBMA provides leadership, research and education for anyone interested in metal building systems and their benefits. Led by the board of directors and working through its various committees, MBMA members contribute thousands of hours of service each year to help make this sophisticated and versatile building solution the top choice for low-rise commercial construction. MBMA’s committees—which include technical, energy, fire protection, insurance, safety and sustainability—lead the association’s efforts to set the standard for designing, manufacturing and erecting these high-quality, cost-effective, attractive structures.
