Chris Young, P.E., joins Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. as president/CEO

Fort Worth, Texas — Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. (APAI) selected Chris Young, P.E., as the firm’s president/CEO, effective January 15, 2018. The addition of Chris to APAI’s leadership and management team strengthens the firm’s reputation and technical expertise in the engineering industry.

Coinciding with APAI’s 40th year of business, Chris joins the firm with a professional commitment aligned with APAI’s corporate culture and vision of providing quality engineering with integrity and respect for employees and clients. His 23-year career includes proven abilities in engineering planning, design and construction management, as well as prior operations leadership roles with a global engineering firm. During his career, he has led project teams and groups serving many state and local government clients while performing wastewater collection, pumping, pipeline, and treatment services. Chris also has experience in wastewater master planning and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Consent Decree implementation and program management.

Chris’ leadership extends to professional associations where he works for advancement of the industry. He serves on the Collection Systems Committee Inflow/Infiltration Technical Practice Group for the Water Environment Federation, and he is the Scholarship Committee Chairperson for the Water Environment Association of Texas North Texas Chapter. Chris also is a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber and serves on the Infrastructure Policy Committee.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
