Call for GIS papers

The Urban & Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), a nonprofit association of professionals using GIS and other information technologies to solve challenges in state/provincial, regional, and local government agencies, is accepting abstract submissions for its 45th Annual Conference, to be held Aug. 20-23, 2007, in Washington, D.C. All abstract submissions received by Dec. 22, 2006, will be reviewed and considered for the comprehensive educational program. General topic categories include:

• national initiatives, partnerships, and collaboration;
• applications;
• tools;
• data;
• management & professional development; and
• public participation GIS.
