Brownfields 2009 offers civil engineers continuing education credits

NEW ORLEANS — A variety of professional associations have approved Brownfields 2009, Nov. 16-18, in New Orleans, as a continuing education credit (CEC) opportunity. These associations include the American Planning Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

ICMA will offer Continuing Education Credits to American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) professionals. When attending a session at the Brownfields 2009 conference ASCE professionals must sign in at each event. At the beginning of the conference, participants can pick up a CEC certificate from the Continuing Education Kiosk at Registration. Participants sign in at each session they attend and keep track of their attendance on the certificate. ICMA will keep the sign-in sheet and submit it to ASCE while the ASCE professional keeps the certificate.

Members of the Amercian Planning Association American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) will receive CECs for eight specific courses.

Attendees should stop by the Continuing Education kiosk in the Brownfields registration area for more information or check online at www.brownfieldsconference.org.
