01. Stormwater treatment
Hydro International launched the Hydro DryScreen Next Generation Baffle Box, a screen and sediment-removing device designed for greater capture of trash, debris, and organic material from stormwater. The Hydro DryScreens flexible design works well with high peak flows, shallow drainage lines, or flat topographies where low headloss must be accommodated, the company said. Model sizes range from 4 feet by 8 feet to 12 feet by 20 feet but are also customizable. 02. Upgraded workstations for VR
Dell announced upgrades to its Dell Precision Tower Workstations with increased performance, graphics, and memory for virtual reality (VR) content creation. The Dell Precision Tower 5810, 7810, and 7910 Workstations and Rack 7910 have been upgraded with new Intel Broadwell EP Processors that have more cores and performance for multi-threaded applications that are ideal for professional modeling, analysis, and calculations. Additional upgrades include the latest professional graphics technology from AMD and NVIDIA, Dell Precision Ultra-Speed PCle drives with up to 4x-faster performance than traditional SATA SSD storage, and up to 1TB of DDR4 Memory running at 2400MHz speed.
03. Asphalt anchors
Asphalt Anchor Groups special-purpose anchors have been used for mounting parking signs, fence posts, speed bumps, runway arresting systems, and seasonal flood control systems. An internal thread accepts a bolt that is used to attach a structure to the anchor. The anchors bond to asphalt using an epoxy or cement. An oversize hole is drilled in the asphalt, filled with a fast-curing grout, and the anchor is dropped in until it is flush with the surface. The displaced grout is pushed into the crevices in the asphalt and in the gravel layer below.

04. Pipe for corrosive environments
FiberSystems corrosion-resistant methacrylate epoxy FRP composite pipe, duct, and fittings are custom engineered for chemical service environment applications. The filament-wound methacrylate epoxy FRP pipe and duct products are available in sizes ranging from 3/8 inch to 168 inches. According to the company, the pipe can withstand burial conditions from live loads to earth loads of 100 feet or more. The products can be used for underwater installations and supported span applications. A high-performance grade of methacrylate epoxy resin pigmented grey for UV inhibition is used in filament-wound structural overwraps and flanges.
05. Low-profile tension fabric building
ClearSpan Fabric Structures new Low Profile Building features short sidewalls so customers can create a structure that is as tall or short as needed. The building is designed to be built on blocks, foundations, containers, helical piers, or posts of any height, ensuring that the buildings clearance meets any application. The building has a peak design and utilizes ClearSpans truss-arch design. The structural steel has been triple galvanized. The Low Profile Building is covered with ClearSpans 12.5-ounze, 24-mil rip-stop polyethylene fabric that is UV resistant and comes in four colors.

06. Segmental retaining wall guide
The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), in collaboration with NCMA members and industry leaders, published the Segmental Retaining Walls (SRW) Best Practices Guide for the Specification, Design, Construction, and Inspection of SRW Systems. The guide is a compendium of contemporary knowledge collected over several decades that highlights practical, field-proven solutions using SRWs. The information and recommendations presented in the guide are intended to augment design practices and recommendations contained within NCMAs Design Manual for Segmental Retaining Walls. 07. Structural design software
Autodesk Revit 2017 includes optimizations and improvements to more than 100 functions to help the software keep up with users working with large, complex models. According to Autodesk, more operations running with multi-threaded capabilities improve overall software performance by as much as 20 percent. Revit 2017 also works faster by displaying only the visible elements of a view and not drawing elements that are hidden. A Global Parameters feature helps encode and capture design intent within a model by enabling users to define relationships between building elements and to use parameters to drive dimensions and values across a project.
08. GNSS positioning for construction layout, QA
Trimble Field Link can now be used with the Trimble R8s GNSS receiver, extending Trimbles portfolio of positioning and scanning solutions that take advantage of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology when performing layout, as-built assessments, and quality assurance checks, while using software designed for building construction positioning work. With GNSS technology, there is no need to maintain line of sight with a total station; users only need a clear view of the sky to capture measurements. According to the company, the Trimble R8s delivers sub-centimeter horizontal positioning accuracy in a lightweight, rugged design.
09. Tunnel segment gasket
Trelleborgs new tunnel segment gasket for bored tunnels incorporates a cast-in profile seal within the tunnel segment, eliminating the need to use adhesive. The cast-in profile sealing system comprises a symmetrical design with a sole anchor. It has been developed to ensure that the gasket forges a superior bond connection with the segment, improving installation accuracy and eliminating the need for extra equipment, the company said. The profile is designed to fit into the groove within the mold and is incorporated into the production process. Once its fitted, the mold is filled with concrete and the cast then becomes an integrated part of the final product.

HP Inc. said that its new HP Z1 G3 Workstation combines the simplicity of an all-in-one design with performance typically found in traditional tower workstations. The Z1 features a 23.6-inch diagonal anti-glare UHD 4K display; Intel Xeon quad-core, 64 GB ECC memory; NVIDIA Quadro graphics; Dual PCIe HP Z Turbo Drives for speedy boot up, calculation, and response times for large files; and multiple ports to quickly and easily transfer data and connect devices, including side-access dual Thunderbolt 3 with USB 3.1, USB charging port, media card reader, and DisplayPort. Users can maximize storage by adding up to two additional 2.5-inch SATA SSDs or HDDs.
