Robert Hans, P.E., joined CT Consultants as a senior project manager. He has more than 27 years of experience and has held several leadership roles while working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Pavel Hajda, Ph.D., P.E., rejoined Baxter & Woodman, Inc. in the role of senior process engineer. He will develop wastewater system programs and projects for public-sector and industrial clients.
Suhail Khan, vice president of technology and facilities at RETTEW, was named Chief Technology Officer of the Year at the Executive Management Awards. The awards, sponsored by the Central Penn Business Journal, celebrate business leaders who contribute to the region’s economic growth and stability. RETTEW hired Chad E. Dixson, AICP, as a regional manager in southeastern Pennsylvania, central and southern New Jersey, and northern Delaware.
KAI Design & Build hired Adam Jones as a project engineer. He will serve as a liaison between clients and KAI’s multidiscipline team.
Cardno promoted Stephanie Fidler to Natural Resources Southeast Business Unit leader in the firm’s Americas Region. She has more than 15 years of broad professional experience in environmental consulting, project management, and business development. Also at Cardno, Ted Tomasi, Ph.D., returned to the company as vice president and director of national practices based from the company’s Newark, Del., office. He has specialized in management of natural resource damage liabilities using restoration-based and monetary evaluations.
Richard G. Brink, P.E., was named a senior structural engineer and project manager in Gannett Fleming’s Baltimore office. He has 30 years of experience in bridge design and 15 years in project management. His structural experience includes the design of bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation-related structures. Michael A. Shamma, P.E., joined Gannett Fleming as the Northeast Transportation DOT/tolls business line leader. Based in the New York City office, he is responsible for guiding the firm’s DOT/tolls business strategy and growth across the northeastern U.S.
Dewberry promoted Brian Batten, Ph.D., CFM, to associate in the firm’s Richmond, Va., office. Batten is a senior coastal scientist and project manager with Dewberry’s resilience solutions group and leads the firm’s sea level rise practice. Melissa Whitney, P.E., was promoted to senior associate in Dewberry’s Fairfax, Va., office. As a project manager for the firm’s disaster recovery team, Whitney manages contracts and systems development for individual recovery efforts. Rachel Leitzinger, P.E., was promoted to associate in the firm’s Lanham, Md., office. Throughout her 11 years of site/civil engineering experience, Leitzinger has worked on small- to large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects, focusing on stormwater management, storm drain design, and sediment control. Daniel W. Peterson, P.E., PTOE, joined Dewberry as the northeast regional manager for transportation planning and traffic engineering based in the firm’s Bloomfield, N.J., office. He will oversee the transportation planning, traffic, electrical, and intelligent transportation systems group. Jeff Finitz, P.E., was hired as the head of the transportation department in Dewberry’s Boston office. He will manage bridge and highway teams in design and in-service inspections of highway, tunnel, and transit infrastructure, as well as support business development efforts in the New England region.
