AGC BIMForum scheduled for June

KANSAS CITY, MO. — This June, contractors, architects, owners, and engineers from around the country will participate in the 2010 BIMForum in Kansas City, Mo. BIMForum’s mission is to accelerate the industry’s adoption of building information modeling (BIM) by leading by example and developing best practices for virtual design and construction (VDC).

Organized by the Associated General Contractors of America, this meeting will focus on the primary principles of lean design and construction and how BIM might be best integrated into lean practices and vice versa. Topics will also include how VDC and BIM enhanced lean practices in specific projects, and how technology is being combined with BIM to support lean methods. BIMForum is held three times a year in various locations around the country. To participate in the June 17-18 event, visit www.bimforum.org.
