2011 TRB 90th Annual Meeting offers professional development hours

Attendees at the TRB 90th Annual Meeting, Jan. 23-27, 2011, in Washington, D.C., will be able to claim continuing education credits for professional engineering (P.E.) licensing. A credit statement form for Professional Development Hours (PDH) for P.E. licensing will be provided in the printed Annual Meeting Final Program.

Each hour of participation earns one PDH and attendees must maintain their own records of attendance. TRB will confirm an individual’s registration at the request of the licensing or certifying agency. Note that, at this time, neither TRB nor the 2011 Annual Meeting is certified with the New York or Florida state licensing boards. TRB will continue to work with state boards to become an approved provider of their continuing education credits.

You are encouraged to register and make your hotel reservation online now. Registration is required for all Annual Meeting attendees, including those who register to attend any workshop or utilize services provided onsite such as the shuttle and employment opportunities room.

Shortly after the conclusion of the meeting, all TRB Annual Meeting registrants will receive complimentary online access to the meeting’s more than 3,000 slide and poster presentations, and to the full audio and visual recordings of more than 40 selected high-profile sessions. This collection will be part of the “TRB Annual Meeting Online,” which also will incorporate the nearly 2,000 papers from the meeting. In one search, the TRB Annual Meeting online service will allow registered attendees to quickly find all available papers, visual aids, and recordings by session, presentation, author, subject area, and more.

The TRB 90th Annual Meeting covers all transportation modes, with more than 3,000 presentations in nearly 600 sessions addressing topics of interest to all attendees — policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. The Annual Meeting, which draws attendees from throughout the United States and from more than 60 countries, is one of the largest gatherings of transportation practitioners and researchers in the world.
