Parsons publishes 2017 corporate social responsibility report

Pasadena, Calif. — Parsons released its 2017 corporate social responsibility report, People, Planet, Progress. This document describes Parsons’ ongoing efforts surrounding corporate social responsibility and its commitment to conduct its enterprise in concert with environmental/energy, sociocultural, and economic goals benefiting future generations. Published prior to Earth Day, the report also includes examples of sustainability on Parsons’ projects, areas where the corporation has achieved the greatest impact in providing innovative sustainable solutions to its customers — as well as its efforts to make its overall operations even more sustainable, reduce its environmental/energy footprints, and manage its carbon intensity.

“We are pleased to share our new report with our stakeholders,” said Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ Chairman and CEO. “Since 1944, corporate social responsibility has been an integral part of our culture. This report illustrates our commitment to minimizing the impact that our work has on the environment by providing our customers with sustainable solutions.”

In an effort to continuously enhance Parsons’ value, People, Planet, Progress highlights the measurable results the corporation has achieved for three years: 2014, 2015, and 2016. In addition to including information detailing the corporation’s progress in the area of sustainability, the report features information about Parsons’ social impacts, including safety, diversity, and contributions to communities where it operates.

In the interest of using a credible, internationally recognizable reporting approach, Parsons incorporated select metrics of the Global Reporting Initiative to summarize its accomplishments.
